Tinubu returns to Nigeria from London

Former Lagos governor and national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Nigeria from London on Sunday.

Pictures shared by TVC television showed the Tinubu arriving at the airport in Nigeria accompanied by aides and supporters.

It was learnt that the former governor’s private jet landed at the EAN Private Hangar inside the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) on Sunday evening.

The former Lagos governor had left Nigeria for London on 28 January after declaring his intention to contest the 2023 presidency during visit to Aso Rock Presidential Villa and trips to some states in the Northern parts of the country.

 

Tinubu’s trip to London after he declared his presidential ambition and series of consultations across the country had led to speculations and insinuations about his health.

However, Tunde Rahman, Tinubu’s media aide said the trip was part of meetings and consultations of his principal on his presidential ambition.

The former governor was later seen in viral photographs receiving officials of UK chapter of APC two days after he arrived in London.
